Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Beach
A chopper flying over a crowded southern California shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a row of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Footage shared on social media capture the helicopter starting to spin above the beach then plunging towards the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a steps near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders stated five people were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
