Labuschagne Left Out from Australia's One-Day International Lineup Against India
The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from the three-game ODI series facing India, with in-form Queensland teammate Matt Renshaw getting a surprise inclusion.
Performance Issues Lead to Omission
Selectors dropped Labuschagne from the one-day international team following being dismissed for one in his two batting efforts during the recent series against South Africa in August. The right-hander has a top score of 47 in his most recent ten ODI innings.
The 31-year-old has featured in 68 one-day internationals and amassed 1,871 ODI runs at an average of 34.64, but will now work towards a return to the Test side in time for the Ashes starting in Perth on 21 November.
Renshaw's Return and Team Updates
There have been indications of a improvement in form with a score of 160 for Queensland in the domestic first-class competition this week, while Renshaw made a century for the Bulls in the identical match against Tasmania.
The left-hander may to make his ODI debut in the upcoming series against India after previously being selected in an ODI squad in 2022.

“The majority of the T20 squad will remain together as it’s an important period in the preparation for the T20 World Cup next year, however we are aiming to find equilibrium to ensure we simultaneously prepare specific players for the Test series ahead.”
Australia’s three-match ODI series against India commences on October 19 in Perth, before the rivals play five T20 internationals from October 29.
