Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his response when replaced in the recent fiery El Clasico triumph.
He was taken off in the second half and expressed his disappointment by going straight off the pitch.
Vinicius later returned to the bench and, after his side's narrow triumph, sought to engage Barça's opposing player during unsavoury post-match exchanges.
"Today I want to apologise to all the supporters for my reaction when I was taken off in the Clasico," he shared on X.
"Just as I have said in person during the latest practice, I would like to say sorry once more to my team-mates, the organization, and the president.
"At times emotion gets the better of me because I always want to win and support my side. My determined nature originates in the love I hold for this institution and each thing it symbolizes."
The player moved to the Spanish capital from Brazil in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has accumulated over a century of strikes in numerous matches.
But his career in the Madrid is uncertain with rumors in lately indicating that Los Blancos would think about letting the young star leave if they were to receive a suitable offer.
When he was taken off on Sunday, broadcast footage from network the service recorded him stating: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I go, I'm going."
In his new post on social media, Vinicius commented: "I promise to keep striving every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the first day."
