The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles in total, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
