In the month of September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unlucky to be omitted from the team for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally didn't call him up for the subsequent October fixtures.

Tuchel has been an significant influence in Chalobah's progress, having awarded him his Chelsea debut in 2021.

Chalobah has featured in nearly all matches for Chelsea this season, with the team occupying third spot in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup last eight and in the league phase of the Champions League.
